In the end, there is nothing terribly abhorrent about horoscopes and astrology. Fun and games are just fun and games. If we read our daily/weekly/monthly horoscopes its because our eyes accidentally fell upon the list and it’s fun to play around with the idea that free will is non-existent; that our future can be known.
On the other hand, occasionally you come face to face with a person who is an ardent believer in the veracity of a well-done horoscope. Less frequently, but occasionally, you encounter the astrologer themselves; the folks who take money from people to explain to them how the placements of planets and moons at the time of one’s birth and how they array at the moment dictate our actions, personality traits, and coming life events.
This latter group of folks is those who we all know its best to not turn our back on and, upon meeting them, it’s best to slowly back away lest they get the jump on you.
