Lies and Slight of Hand in Europe and Oregon Define Alcohol Debate
Famed health journal spreads lies that will be used in the States in alcohol debate
I’m going to keep reporting on this and writing about this issue until the wine and larger alcohol industry can’t avoid acknowledging it and taking action. There is a significant move afoot to use any means necessary to demonize and marginalize responsible alcohol consumption until governments across the globe and across the U.S. embrace draconian policies meant to reduce moderate consumption and significantly reduce the size of the wine and the larger alcohol industry.
Here is the latest example.
The highly respected 170-year-old Britsh Medical Journal (BMJ) has released a high-profile editorial in its pages calling for the British government to treat all alcohol like cigarettes: “It’s time to end the policy vacuum on alcohol harm in England if this government is serious about shifting its focus to prevention”
So enthusiastic and serious are the editors of the BMJ, that they are willing to tell three important lies in a single paragraph near the top of its editorial, all in just three sentences. Here is that masterpiece of deception:
