Who doesn’t like when a good opportunity rolls around?

In my last issue of FERMENTATION about the logic behind major wine publications not reviewing wines from most U.S. states, I included a line that I don’t want to see left behind. It’s this:

“There are more diverse voices writing about wine today than at any time in the history of wine writing.”

For folks inside and outside the wine industry, one of the challenges is having access to and seeing the broad swath of reporting on wine. The reporting and commentary come from so many separate directions: traditional wine pubs, daily newspaper columns, general consumer magazine articles, blogs, accessible newsletters (like this one) trade publications, online wine publications, retail websites, etc, etc, etc. It would take a monumental effort to track down on a daily basis the new and different articles on wine, reviews of wine and wine commentary.
