We are six months into this project, one in which I lower my profile as a commentator on the wine industry by switching from a publicly accessible blog format to a subscription format here at Substack. I thought it was time to give my readers and supporters an update on where we are.
My goal at the outset of this project was ambitious by the standard of other similar switches over to a subscription-based format. By the end of 2022, I wanted to attract a total of 1,000 subscribers, including 100 paying patrons. I’m a little over 50% toward my goal of subscribers and nearly 70% toward my goal of paying subscribers. The paying subscribers are slowing its pace a bit as I move further from the launch date six months ago.
All of this is cause for a great big THANK YOU to all of you and particularly to those of you who have supported my efforts with a paying subscription.
For those of you who have opted for the free subscription, I want to thank you for your support too.
